An air of expectation filled the congregation when District Apostle Helper Peter Lambert visited Jamestown congregation on 10 January 2023. The organist, orchestra and choir prepared the hearts of the congregation for the message from God’s throne. The Bible word from Ephesians 1: 22-23 underlined the authority of Christ as the head of the church and God’s plan of salvation for His children.
Priest Mark Poole, who served the congregation since 20 August 2017, was placed into retirement. The District Apostle Helper thanked the rector for his valuable contributions as minister and his labours of love over many years. A special thanks was given to his family for their support and prayers.
Priest Marius Hull was appointed as the new rector of the congregation. The District Apostle Helper emphasized the fact that the calling comes from God to fulfill a specific task in His work. He wished the new rector many blessings in his task as mother of the congregation.
The choir ended the hour of blessing with “Praise ye the Lord”
