Dinwiddie was the venue for a Rectors’ meeting and divine service conducted by District Apostle J Kriel on 14 and 15 January 2023 respectively.
The District Apostle was accompanied by District Apostle Helpers P Lambert and M Mkhwanazi, Apostles J Mabaso, J Joubert, A Page, and S Mogane.
The Rectors, District Rectors and District Rector Helpers from the five apostle areas in the north-eastern regions of South Africa gathered in the Dinwiddie church, Johannesburg.
The meeting commenced at 13h00 when the District Apostle welcomed all and opened the session with a prayer. Thereafter, he did a spiritual portion with the leaders as an introduction to the weekend. The Bible word used for this was from 1 Corinthians 4:1.
Thereafter, the District Apostle Helper P Lambert did a presentation on the introduction of the updated Minister’s Guide. He spent time discussing various topics, including the NAC Liturgy during divine services.
After a short break, the District Apostle continued with numerous topics which included:
-congregation offering
-soul care visits
-women in ministry and the way forward
-midweek divine services
-Masakhe Foundation
-the Burial programme and support initiatives that are offered to the subscribers
-NACTV and the way forward
-March “Clean-up Project”.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the District Apostle thanked all for their attendance and lively participation during the meeting. The District Apostle Helper M Mkhwanazi closed the meeting with prayer. Thereafter, all in attendance enjoyed a light snack & fellowship before leaving for their respective homes and stayovers for those who travelled in.
On Sunday morning, the District Apostle conducted a divine service in Dinwiddie Congregation.
The Bible word for this divine service was taken out from Isaiah 52:7, ‟How beautiful upon the mountains Are the feet of him who brings good news, Who proclaims peace, Who brings glad tidings of good things, Who proclaims salvation, Who says to Zion, ‘Your God reigns!”’
After the divine service, the ministers left the church building feeling spiritually refreshed and ready to serve and reign with Christ.
