District Apostle J Kriel concluded his final overseas trip for 2022 by serving the congregation of Reunion Island on Monday, 19 December 2022.
“It is unusual for us to gather on a Monday, but not for our Saviour to bless us” – with these words, the District Apostle began his sermon which was based on the Bible word 1 John 4:14, “And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent the Son as Saviour of the world.”
In this divine service before Christmas, the District Apostle reminded the congregation of the virtues of the Saviour which add to the historic and spiritual significance of Christmas for all Christians.
During the divine service little Camille, daughter of Bruno and Pauline, was baptised and sealed by the District Apostle.
Following a request by the Community Evangelist Guy, the District Apostle also announced his change of mandate from Rector to Priest. The District Apostle thanked him for his care for the congregation. Thereafter, Priest Claude Durrmeyer was appointed as the Rector for the congregation.
