The members of Westlake congregation, Cape Town, celebrated 10 years of worship in their current building since its inauguration on 2 December 2012 by Apostle (ir) J Stephens.
For many years, members had to attend divine service in various venues until the church was able to purchase property in the area in 2011.
The celebrations started with a divine service conducted by Bishop G James on Wednesday 7 December 2022, followed by an evening of music and reflection on Thursday 8 December. The former Rector, Shepherd T Lassen, who was instrumental in obtaining the property, was in attendance and shared a few thoughts. Priest (ir) D de Villiers also shared a few thoughts, reflecting on the past 10 years. The evening ended with a fellowship which everyone enjoyed.
