Worcester South church was buzzing with excitement as the clock counted down the minutes to the start of the 'Christmas in the Winelands' festive concert.
Under the leadership of Edwin Pennings, the choir and orchestra members from the Cape Winelands Apostle Area settled in to give a performance of high quality that will surely linger long in the memory.
The rapturous rendition of 'Oh come all ye faithful' set the tone for the rest of the programme.
The heart-warming and cheerful Christmas songs had the audience sing along and nod in approval at the same time. From moving solo vocals to entertaining instrumental solos, this was music of a high calibre.
The 'Christmas Medley' gave the audience an opportunity to sing with the choir which ended with a standing ovation of appreciation to the conductor, choir and orchestra.
Bishop L Ravell then took the opportunity to thank everyone for their sacrifices and concluded the event with prayer.
