Protea Park sports field in Gordon's Bay became the area of spiritual learning and great teamwork for 190 confirmands of Lentegeur district who attended their final outing as confirmands on Saturday, 22 October 2022.
The young brothers and sisters gathered with their teachers and the Rectors of their congregations where they recited their vow together and enjoyed a presentation done by their teachers. The presentation reinforced their spiritual knowledge and encouraged them to continue exercising the pillars of faith taught to them throughout their confirmation year. These include the creed, commandments, prayers, offering and the ministry.
The District Rector, Shepherd Gavin Van Der Hoven wished the young Christians well as they stand on the threshold of making a personal vow to remain faithful to God.
The day progressed with a host of fun and exciting games and saw them pleasantly interacting and exercising a healthy competitive spirit.
The day was concluded with a hearty lunch and the confirmands each received a snack pack for their journey homeward.
