The senior members of Lentegeur district assembled at Summerdale High School on 24 September to celebrate South African Heritage Day. Everyone dressed in their unique and colourful cultural dress to enjoy breakfast and some entertainment provided by the musical performers.
Motivational speaker Melanie Kleinsmith encouraged all in attendance, and attorney Winique Luitjies spoke on wills and estates. The joyous moments provided the seniors with the opportunity to reflect on their heritage and appreciate the different cultures, as well as receive important tools that they can apply in their lives going forward.
