On Saturday 17 September 2022, many newly-appointed Rectors from the Cape Coastal Apostle Area were invited to participate in a “Rector Enhancement Program”. This new programme consists of 8 modules and is aimed at equipping newly-appointed congregation Rectors with various practical skills to care for all the members within the congregations. The delegates will meet on one Saturday during the months of September, October, and November 2022, where the content of various modules will be imparted to them.
Relevant topics such as the Vision and Mission of the NAC church, Soul Care Visits, NAC Policies, Concept of Ministry, Leadership, Preparation for divine services, MIS administration, Care for Young People, Sunday School, Confirmands, Articles of Faith, practical administration of the Holy Sacraments and acts of blessing are included in this enhancement programme.
The overarching purpose of this programme is to provide greater care to the members of the congregation.
The delegates enjoyed the enthusiastic interactions, the different learnings from each other, building camaraderie and enjoyed a warm fellowship and support for each other. They will endeavour to apply the theory and learnings within the respective congregations, under the coaching and guidance of their respective District Rectors.
