On Sunday 18 September 2022, the young people of Parow West Congregation gathered for a divine service conducted by Priest Gilliard Raffels as part of their preparation for Thanksgiving Day.
The Bible word John 13:34-35 served as a basis for the divine service.
As the theme of the month focused on Christian life and striving to love our neighbour, the idea of serving the community with a soup kitchen was formed. The group of young people hosted this at Parow Park directly after the divine service.
