New Apostolic Church
Southern Africa
During the week of 24-28 July 2022, Apostles Felix, Lama and Worship met with all District Rectors and Bishops of Madagascar. Two meetings and divine services also took place during the visits.
On Sunday 24 July 2022, the leaders from the area of Apostle Lama gathered in Fianarantsoa for a divine service and meeting. On Tuesday 26 July 2022, it was the turn of the Apostle Felix’s area. The divine service took place in Tamatave on the Northeast Coast of the country. A meeting on Wednesday 27 July 2022, concluded the activities in the country.
The divine services focused on the return to all fellowship elements of the Church which was a challenge during the Covid-19 pandemic. The meetings enabled the leaders, who formed a national synod, to vote on the change of the Church constitution.
Road travel in the country remains a challenge, with a 300km journey taking 10 hours. After the heavy rains in the area, some roads were flooded. The only way of reaching the congregation was by “Tuk-Tuk”; the local 3-wheel variation of a taxi. The Apostles and the local leaders echoed their thankfulness for being able to gather in person.
