On Saturday 30 July 2022, the young people of Buffalo City District in East London gathered at Parkside Congregation. As part of their Dare2Care initiative, the goal for the day was to collaborate and support a local charity named, “Feed A Family”.  The young people undertook to prepare 250 sandwiches and snack packages which served as nourishment for those in need of something to eat.  “Feed A Family” also prepared a cooked meal of the day.

Each congregation within the Buffalo City District contributed bread, sandwich toppings and snacks.  The remaining food was prepared for the senior members who could enjoy it with their morning cup of tea.

The young people leaders extended a special thank you to “Feed A Family” for their labours of love within the community.

The event was a resounding success; the young people happily pitched in and worked together while enjoying the fellowship. Above all, they were sensitised and moved by the plight of those in need and would like to be part of similar initiatives in the future.
