Dashboard training for Kuils River, Blue Downs, Grabouw and Stellenbosch districts

On Sunday 24 July 2022, Community Evangelist (CEV) Martin Mullins from the administration office’s IT department and Bishop Chris van Wyk (i.r) presented a dashboard training session for the District Rectors, Rectors, and co-ordinators of Kuils River, Blue Downs, Grabouw and Stellenbosch Districts at Highbury congregation.

The training session was preceded by a divine service conducted by Apostle P Lambert. The Bible word for the divine service was taken from John 20: 13

CEV Mullins started the session by giving technical background on MIS. He also highlighted the constraints of navigating and using MIS. He then introduced the technology platform utilized for the new interactive dashboard which will run parallel with MIS.

Bishop Van Wyk took the participants through the why's and how's of the new platform. He explained that the church cannot make use of data as it used to. He said it is important to make sure that the correct data is captured. ’Members’ data is important as it empowers its users to make informed decisions and identify problems. The data can be also used as a guide to rectify problems.

The Bishop said that it is prudent in ensuring the completeness, relevance, accuracy, timeliness, and accessibility of data. He said the new dashboard, together with MIS, gives detailed information and helps its users to better manage the congregation data and ultimately improve care in the congregations.

At the conclusion of the session, Apostle Lambert thanked the team for the important work they are doing and closed the session with a prayer.
