“Am I my brother’s keeper?”

Sunday morning 17 July was a joyous occasion for Cloetesville Congregation as the District Rector, District Elder Allen Jullies, conducted his last divine service before his retirement on 20 July. He was accompanied by all the Rectors of the Stellenbosch district. As the basis for the divine service, he used a Bible word recorded in Genesis 4:9. After the divine service, the Rectors and wives arranged a fellowship and enjoyed a few more moments with the District Rector and his wife.

To add to the joy, the District Rector expressed his wish to serve the retired Community Evangelist Jackie Machalie with Holy Communion at home. This moment also coincided with the Machalie couple celebrating their golden wedding anniversary. After the celebration of Holy Communion, the District Rector bestowed the anniversary blessing on the couple.
