There was great excitement amongst the Apostles of Southern Africa when the District Apostle invited them to be together with him over the weekend of 16-17 July 2022, as it was the first time that the Apostles could meet in person as a group since March 2020.
This invite also coincided with the inauguration of Olympus Congregation in Pretoria East on Sunday 17 July 2022, which served as the highlight of the weekend.
The District Apostle commenced the meeting by expressing his sincere thanks for the opportunity to meet and be together as a group. Thereafter, he proceeded with a spiritual portion focused on the task of an Apostle.
The agenda was diverse and included topics such as
-the introduction of a new Sunday School syllabus;
-a virtual attendance of a graduation of one of the Masakhe programmes;
-a discussion around the importance of succession planning and
-the introduction of a dashboard for Apostles which would support the pastoral management of the areas.
The meeting also strengthened the bond of unity amongst the Apostles.
