Grahamstown congregation's Sunday School team embarked on an initiative to encourage more Sunday School children to return to church and thereby return to attending in-person Sunday school classes.
The Sunday School team arranged a winter school programme that commenced on 5 July 2022 until 7 July 2022. The children attended with much enthusiasm and excitement.
A few of the activities included a short workout, dancing, baking cupcakes and a quiz session. The Sunday School children were taught about their role as New Apostolic Christians in the church as well as music development. Awareness was raised on protective behaviour which was presented by a social work student from Child Welfare Department.
The Sunday school team are confident that many children will return and find their joy in attending in-person lessons again.
